Over Lake Atitlán (Lago de Atitlán)
.
We rented a boat and traversed Lake Atitlán. A small town on it's shores is where I found the 'dog sleeping on the roof' picture below.
We did have several stops, the views, the people, and the skies were wonderful. One was for lunch and souvenirs. I bought a nice hat, Mrs. Jim bought a wooden flute like instrument, each was "made in Guatemala."
This was our last day in Guatemala so there were about seven hours on the bus. That wasn't nearly as much fun as doing the lake in our boat.

On the road (dah) via Highway CA1, which is the PanAmerican Highway. It really isn't too great in places but the scenery is wonderful. We passed a lot of roadwork using temporary side roads as Guatemala is upgrading portions to four lane.

Huehuetenango, the street leading out of town to the west. This was not the PanAm Highway. We stayed a week in Huehuetenango helping at an orphanage. The kids were sooooo loving.
